Susan Corbett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she received her B. A. in Psychology and Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Ohio State University. She taught courses in Individual, Family, Marital Therapy and Psychopathology at the University of Sarasota (1991 - 1994). The Supreme Court of Florida certified her as a Family Mediator in 1992.
She was on the Executive Board of Allied Health Professionals for Sarasota Palms Hospital and Sarasota Memorial Hospital (Bayside Center) and was past President of the Sarasota chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association.
For 20 years, she specialized in working with local attorneys to assist the elderly and their families. She served as an Examining Committee member for evaluating competency of elderly people in the 12th Judicial Circuit Court.
Susan has provided services to individuals, couples, and families in Sarasota for over 30 years. Sarasota Magazine awarded Susan “Best Female Therapist.”
Susan is also an artist working with stained and fused glass. Leading glass craft magazines have featured her works.
